Graco Inlet Strainer, SST Cap, 1"
This is the strainer that sits at the suction tube, before paint ever reaches the pump. Painters sometimes call it a "rock catcher," and that's basically the job: it stops grit, dried paint chunks, and debris from getting pulled into the pump where they can cause real damage.
Fits
1" inlet, stainless steel cap style. Used on larger sprayers including GMax II 5900 and 7900, Ultra Max II 695, 795, 1095, and 1595, TexSpray Mark IV, V, VII, and X, and GH 130, 200, 230, and 300 series. Check your sprayer's inlet size before ordering, since Graco also makes 3/4" and 1 1/4" versions that won't fit here.
Why it matters
- First stage of filtration, ahead of the manifold and gun filters
- Protects the pump from debris damage
- Stainless steel cap holds up to regular cleaning and reuse
Keep it running
Clean it out after every job. A clogged inlet strainer is one of the most common, easy-to-miss causes of a sprayer losing prime or struggling to pull material.
