The burner, meaning the wick and ceramic stone together, is the part of a catalytic fragrance lamp that actually wears out. As a rule of thumb, replace it after about 200 lightings or every 1 to 2 years of regular use, whichever comes first, to keep the catalytic reaction working properly.
What's included
3 replacement burners (wick and stone).
When to replace
- The lamp takes longer than usual to start the catalytic reaction
- The stone looks worn, cracked or discoloured
- It's been more than about a year of regular use since the last swap
Good to know
If you're not using your lamp for several weeks, remove the burner and store it separately rather than leaving it soaking in the lamp.
